Fernando Antonio Romero, MD
15 September 1956 — 25 March 2024

“Every blade in the field–Every leaf in the forest
lays down its life in its season as beautifully as it was taken up.”

–Henry David Thoreau

On the morning of Monday, March 25, Dr. Fernando Romero passed away serenely and on his
own terms, surrounded by loved ones and with his faithful dog at his side.

He leaves behind his devoted wife of 43 years, Lorraine, his daughter Alexandra (Kiel
Siemoneit), his son Daniel (Emily Romero) and his grandchildren Benjamin and Olivia who both
lit up his life.

He was committed to his patients, some of whom he had cared for more than 30 years. He also
valued his relationships with the Katy/Houston Medical community throughout his years of
practice. Despite a life well lived, his one regret might have been not to be able to say goodbye
to each and everyone of those patients, doctors, nurses, and other medical support staff and
friends.

We know that he is now at peace, listening to (and probably singing along with) his wide variety
of musical playlists at full volume.
